Amcor Expanded Global Network of Innovation Centers

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Amcor- the global responsible packaging leader announced plans to construct new state-of-the-art innovation centers. It plans to build two new facilities in Ghent, Belgium, and Jiangyin, China. The centers will officially open by mid-2022, with full build-out over the next two years. The company expects to invest approximately $35 million into the two centers.

Currently, Amcor serves customers from flagship sites such as Neenah, Wisconsin, and Manchester, Michigan, in the US, in addition to smaller sites around the world. The two new centers will expand the company’s global reach of innovation network. It will expand the company’s packaging development capabilities.

The facilities comprise advanced analytical and material science labs, dedicated pilot manufacturing equipment and state-of-the-art packaging machinery. The innovation center will help customers to access Amcor’s capabilities from across the world.

Peter Konieczny, Chief Commercial Officer for Amcor stated that the company’s innovation centers have already become trusted destinations for prominent brands. Amcor is excited to expand its global innovation network and remain the growth partner of choice for customers across the world, he added.
