TES-AMM Accomplished Important Sustainability Milestones

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster):  TES- the global leader in IT lifecycle services published its Sustainability Report for full year 2020. The report highlights key sustainability milestones by the company during the year.

The report, covering performance data for all 40 operational sites across 20 different countries, reiterates TES’ commitment to sustainable development in line with its strategy. Globally, the company fared relatively well during the year and had no pandemic outbreaks reported at any of its facilities.

Despite pandemic, the company made good progress against its expansion plans. It opened new greenfield sites in Hong Kong, Singapore and the U.S. Also, it opened a larger site in Sweden. Furthermore, it opened battery recycling facilities in Singapore and France, said the report.

During the year, TES launched a new vision “Sustaining Tomorrow”, in partnership with its stakeholders. It aims to reduce energy consumption by 15% per tonne of materials processed by 2025, compared with 2019 baseline. The company targets to have 25% of total energy consumed within its operations from renewable energy sources. Also, TES plans to reduce Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 15% per tonne of materials processed by 2025.
