The comparison between this week and the same week last year serves as the basis for this.

The nation produced 1.770 million net tons (NT) of domestic raw steel during the week. The domestic mill was operating at 78.1% capacity. Recall that during the same week last year, production was 1.657 million NT, with a little lower capacity utilization rate of 74.6%.

In comparison to the week ending September 20, 2025, when 1,754,000 net tons were produced and the capability utilization rate was 77.4%, the output increased marginally by 0.9% in the week ending September 27, 2025.
