The Kernersville Fire Department responded to a scrap metal fire at OmniSource, which is located along the 1400 block of West Mountain Street. The Winston-Salem Fire Department was also on scene to assist.

At 9:56 p.m. Monday, the Winston-Salem Fire Department posted a video to X showing the facility, where flames were visible through a plume of smoke.
