SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The Bureau of International Recycling (BIR) has unveiled the Shredder Committee programme for its World Recycling Convention & Exhibition 2026 in Gothenburg, placing strong emphasis on safety, efficiency, and technological innovation in modern shredding operations.
The plenary session, scheduled for June 1, 2026 (15:00–16:00), will gather leading experts to examine the evolving global shredder landscape amid rising regulatory pressure and operational risks. The session will be chaired by Alton Scott Newell III of Newell Recycling Equipment (USA), who will open proceedings with the presentation of the World Shredder List 2026, a key benchmark on global capacity and regional trends.
