Aluminum Scrap Prices: Weekly Market Report- October 3, 2025

The LME Aluminum Cash Settlement contract recorded marginal increase from $2,683.50 a day before to $2,700.00 per tonne.

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The weekly trend in aluminium scrap prices across worldwide aluminum scrap metal markets for the period from September 26 to October 2, 2025 on the Scrap Monster Price Index are provided below:
The aluminum scrap prices in the region mostly remained unchanged over the prior week. However, a few commodities recorded minor changes.

The prices of 6061 Extrusions recorded a jump of 1.39%. From $0.72 per pound at the beginning of the week, the prices increased by $0.01 per pound to close at $0.73 per pound on the Index.

The other scrap categories to register price jumps include Litho Sheets, Painted Siding, 1100 Scrap, 3003 Scrap, 356 Aluminum Wheels (Clean), 5052 Scrap, Chrome Wheels, MLC Clips, Old Cast, Old Sheet, UBC, Zorba 90% NF and 6063 Extrusions.
The rest of the scrap commodities in the region held steady upon comparison with the week before.

Highlights
- The only scrap categories to report no change in prices were Aluminum Radiators, Al/Cu Radiators, Al/Cu Radiators/Fe, Aluminum Radiators/Fe, Aluminum Transformers and Breakage 50% Recovery.
- The prices of remaining categories recorded increase week-on-week.
The prices mostly edged higher on the Index when compared with the week before.
The prices of E.C. Aluminum Wire recorded week-on-week jump by 2.52%, as depicted in the weekly price chart below:
Also, Mixed Aluminum Turnings prices were up by 2.13% during the course of the week.
In the meantime, 6063 Extrusions/Fe prices increased by 1.47% week-on-week.
The regional prices of all scrap aluminum categories, except a few, increased on the Index.

The aluminum scrap commodities in the region witnessed mixed trend during the week.
Highlights
- Top Losers- 6063 Extrusions, Old Cast, Old Sheet (all recording decline by 0.27%
- Modest declines of 0.24% each were seen in E.C. Aluminum Wire and Aluminum Ingots
- Radiators, Transformers, UBC and Zorba 90% NF prices held steady week on week.
The Aluminum Ingots prices fell by 0.24%, dropping from CNY 20,750 per MT at the start of the week to end the week at CNY 20,700 per MT. The variation in prices of the commodity over the previous week is shown below:
Highlights
Aluminum utensil scrap prices recorded no change on the Index.
Aluminum Ingots also were flat over the previous week’s prices, unchanged at INR 251,000 per Ton
The prices of all aluminium scrap categories (Aluminum Cuttings, Mixed Aluminum Turnings, Old Cast and UBC) witnessed no change during the week.

LME Aluminum Market Update
The closing price of LME Aluminum 3-Month contract stood at USD 2,705.00 per tonne as of October 2, 2025. The LME Aluminum Cash Settlement contract recorded marginal increase from $2,683.50 a day before to $2,700.00 per tonne.
The LME Aluminum stocks edged lower modestly over the previous day to close at 508,425 tonnes as of October 2, 2025, as compared with 511,425 tonnes a day before.
