SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The weekly global market price trends for the different scrap metal categories on the Scrap Monster Price Index for the week of September 12–18, 2025, are given in the report that follows:
Over the previous week, there was a marginal decline of 1.35% in copper scrap prices.
North America
Over the past week, #1 Copper Bare Bright's price has gone down by 1.32%. #1 Copper Wire & Tubing closed at $4.39 per pound, down 1.35% from the beginning of the week. Additionally, the price of #2 Copper Wire and Tubing went lower from $4.35 to $4.29 per pound, witnessing a 1.38% weekly decline.

The price of #1 Copper Bare Bright on the ScrapMonster Index dropped from $4.55 to $4.49 per pound as of Thursday, September 18, 2025, a weekly decline of 1.32%. #1 Copper Wire & Tubing edged lower from $4.45 to $4.39 per pound, registering a fall by 1.35% from the prior week. By the end of the week, the price of #2 Copper Wire and Tubing had dipped by 1.38% to $4.29 per pound.
USA Midwest
As of Thursday, September 18, 2025, the price of #1 Copper Bare Bright on the ScrapMonster Index was down 1.35% for the week, from $4.44 to $4.38 per pound. #1 Copper Wire & Tubing edged lower from the previous week’s closing price of $4.34 to $4.28 per pound. The price of E.C. Aluminum Wire inched higher by 1.67% on the Index in comparison to the previous week. The price of 6063 Extrusions at the conclusion of the week ending September 18, 2025, registered a jump of 1.06%. The index showed 1.25% increase in Old Cast prices. In addition, UBC's prices recorded week-on-week jump by 1.23%.

E.C. Aluminum Wire's price witnessed a jump of 1.67% over the previous week. The ScrapMonster Index indicates that the price of 6063 Extrusions recorded a marginal jump of 1.06% week-on-week. The prices of Old Cast in the Index closed at $0.82 per Lb, edging higher by 1.23% over the week. Additionally, UBC's pricing also inched up by 1.22% as of September 18, 2025.

E.C. Aluminum wire saw a decline of 2.38% in prices from the previous week. The price of the commodity dropped from CNY 21,000 per MT to CNY 20,500 per MT over the week. Furthermore, 6063 Extrusions' price recorded 2.63% decline to end the week at CNY 18,500 per MT. As of September 18, 2025, Old Cast's price was down by 2.66% on the Index. At the end of the week, UBC prices on the Index closed at CNY 12,700 per MT, compared to CNY 12,900 per MT a week before.
Europe
The price of Old Cast was flat at $1,050 per tonne for the entire week. The ScrapMonster Index also shows that UBC prices remained same from the previous week at $1,250 per tonne.
The prices of Stainless Steel scrap recorded no change over the previous week’s prices.

The weekly pricing trend analysis of 304 SS Solid showed that the commodity's price remained steady at $0.61 per pound, with no change over the previous week.
