SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Resolute Forest Products Inc. (RFP) announced appointment of Duncan K. Davies as an additional member of the company’s Board of Directors. He will succeed Bradley P. Martin as the company's non-executive chairman. With this appointment, the company’s Board of Directors now comprises of eight members.
Most recently, Mr. Davies served as the chief executive officer of Pinnacle Renewable Energy Inc. Prior to that, he was the president and chief executive officer of Interfor Corporation for nearly 20 years. Currently, he is the vice chair of the Binational Softwood Lumber Council. He has also served on various industry trade organizations including BC Lumber Trade Council and Canadian Lumber Trade Alliance.

Commenting on Davies’ appointment, Remi G. Lalonde, president and chief executive officer reminded the outstanding credentials and proven track record of his success in the North American forest products industry. His deep knowledge of the industry will contribute to its transformation strategy. He also expressed his gratitude to Bradley for his leadership and guidance as chairman for the past nine years.
Meantime, Davies said that he is excited to join the board and that he looks forward to work with the board colleagues to generate value for the company and its stakeholders.
