All films produced by the company are 100% recyclable, he added.

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Texas-based Indevco Plastics announced launch of new recycled-content plastic films. The new range of heavy-duty films and bags are being said to contain up to 50% recycled content. Recently, the company had launched a recyclable shrink bundling film comprising 50% PCR material.

Wayne Mashe, divisional general manager of the Indevco North America Plastics Division reminded that the company has been using post-industrial resin (PIR) in its blends since its opening in 2015. The new range of products demonstrates its commitment to optimize the performance of films with PIR and PCR recycled materials for the benefit of industrial customers. All films produced by the company are 100% recyclable, he added.

The company plans to introduce novel blending and extruding techniques at the Longview, Texas, plant and open a greenfield facility in Orangeburg, South Carolina, before the end of the current year. The company intends to focus on two goals- increase the amount of recycled film in films and keep their properties on par with films made with 100% virgin resins.

The company plays a key role in reducing waste to landfill, by replacing virgin resins with recycled content. Furthermore, it contributes to creation of a circular economy of plastics by consuming less energy in its production process.
