SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Smurfit Westrock announced that it has been recognized as one of the Top 250 World’s Most Sustainable Companies by Sustainability Magazine. The official Top 250 World’s Most Sustainable Companies was released last week during Sustainability LIVE London.
Sustainability Magazine created the esteemed list, which honors 250 businesses that have quantifiable effects in areas including decarbonization, the use of renewable energy, ethical supply chains, circular economy projects, and inclusive workplace policies. Companies are ranked according to a comprehensive assessment of their strategic sustainability and ESG performance.

The ranking is created via a comprehensive evaluation of businesses based on four main factors: strategy and innovation, governance and transparency, social responsibility, and environmental impact. Each category is given a score out of 100, with a maximum score of 400 achievable for the companies.
According to Garrett Quinn, Smurfit Westrock's chief sustainability officer, the company is proud to be listed among the Top 250 World's Most Sustainable Companies. He continued by saying that the award demonstrates its dedication to the circular economy through its Better Planet Packaging campaign.
