SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Cascades has announced a $6 million investment to expand operations at its Eau Claire, Wisconsin tissue paper plant, adding advanced converting capacity and creating several new jobs with state support. The investment is expected to reinforce its long-term commitment to the regional market. The expansion project is expected to create 36 new jobs over the next two years, according to industry sources.
The project is being supported by the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC), which has approved up to $200,000 in performance-based state income tax credits. These incentives are tied to job creation targets and capital investment benchmarks, underscoring the state’s support for industrial growth and employment.

The new equipment will support the launch of premium tissue product lines, boost converting capacity, and improve integration rates, strengthening the company’s market coverage across the Upper Midwest, according to Midland.
