SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Mississauga, Ontario-based e-waste recycling company eCycle Solutions announced diversification of business footprints by acquiring a leading metals recycler. The company announced acquisition of Barrie, Ontario-based metal recycler GreenGo Recycling Depot. The deal will expand eCycle’s access to marketable commodities and strengthen is selling power by working in connection with downstream customers and clients.
According to eCycle Solutions, it will make use of two of the GreenGo’s recycling depots outside the Greater Toronto area to accept recyclable materials. The collected items will be transported to its Mississauga site for further processing. The acquisition of the reputable metals recycler will support diversification of the company’s business and help the company in offering enhanced services to its customers, said Michael Collins, president and CEO, eCycle Solutions.
The company new release further said that Terry Steine, president and owner of GreenGo will join eCycle’s senior leadership team as senior director, strategic sourcing. He will play a key role in enhancing the combined business capabilities of both the companies.
The new partnership will expand GreenGo’s model to support the growing demand for community recycling of all commodities across the nation, noted Steine.
