Nucor Announced Top Executive-Level Changes

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Charlotte, North Carolina-based Nucor Corporation announced key executive-level changes.

The company announced that MaryEmily Slate, Executive Vice President of Commercial, will retire due to health issues on June 11, 2022 after more than 21 years of service with the company.

Ms. Slater joined the company in 2000 as District Sales Manager at Nucor Steel Arkansas. After serving in several key positions, was promoted to General Manager of Nucor Steel Auburn, Inc. in 2010 and elected as Vice President in 2012. Later in 2015, she was promoted to Vice President of Nucor Steel Arkansas and to Executive Vice President in 2019.

Also, Dan Needham, Nucor's Executive Vice President of Bar, Engineered Bar and Rebar Fabrication Products, will become Executive Vice President of Commercial with effect from May 15, 2022. John Hollatz will be promoted to Executive Vice President of Bar, Engineered Bar and Rebar Fabrication Products. Chad Utermark, Nucor's Executive Vice President of Fabricated Construction Products, has been appointed as Executive Vice President of New Markets and Innovation.
