Novelis Marks 10th Anniversary of Global Volunteer Month

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Atlanta-headquartered Novelis, Inc.- the world leader in aluminium rolling and recycling is celebrating the tenth anniversary of its annual global volunteer month. To mark this important milestone, the company has decided to deposit $10 into each employee’s charitable donation account during the month of October. In addition, a total of 10 employees will be randomly awarded $1,000 each, which they can donate to charities they wish.

The initiative is part of the global program Novelis Neighbor which focuses on inspiring the next generation of leaders through education-based partnerships, supporting programs and volunteer efforts that promote recycling and recycling education and meeting the unique needs of the local communities. It must be noted that Novelis supports more than 300 community-linked projects and donates more than $5 million per annum in such projects, said the company press release.

Steve Fisher, President and CEO, Novelis Inc. said that it is heartening to see that its employees around the world are jointly giving back to their communities, not only during the volunteer month, but throughout the year. It emphasizes Novelis employees’ passion to support their communities, he added.
