Novelis Cut Ribbon on New Michigan Customer Solution Center

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Novelis, Inc.- the world leader in aluminum rolling and recycling celebrated the opening of its Customer Solution Center (CSC) for automotive market in Novi, Michigan. The ribbon cutting ceremony was attended by customers, suppliers, local leaders from the City of Novi and Oakland County and representatives from State Senator Jim Runestad and U.S. Senator Gary Peters.

The $35 million facility is aimed at boosting the development of aluminum solutions through collaboration with others in the value chain as well as its customers.

The Novi facility offers expertise in research and technology, technical development and commercial support. It houses high-tech equipment including hot stamping press, computer-aided design (CAD) software and modern visualization technologies. The above capabilities are expected to help the company develop new aluminum solutions to the benefit of current and future vehicle applications.

Olga Alavanou, Vice President Automotive, Novelis North America noted that the opening of the facility marks an important milestone for its dedicated and talented team of automotive aluminum experts in Novi. The facility will partner with its customers in every step of designing next generation vehicles, he added.

In addition to the Novi facility, the company runs similar centers in Stuttgart, Germany and Shanghai, China.
