Japan's ferrous scrap exports reached 735,211 metric tons (mt) in November this year, advanced 19.3% year-on-year and declined by 7.4% month-on-month, as per the latest statistics released by Japan's Ministry of Finance.

TOKYO (Scrap Monster): Japan's ferrous scrap exports reached 735,211 metric tons (mt) in November this year, advanced 19.3% year-on-year and declined by 7.4% month-on-month, as per the latest statistics released by Japan's Ministry of Finance.
In November this year, Japanese scrap exports to China totaled 326,135 mt, while exports to South Korea amounted to 320,287 mt, increased by 28.2% and down 6.3% respectively, both compared to November 2011.
Meanwhile, in the first 11 months of this year, Japan's scrap exports amounted to 7.7 million mt, increased by 60.2% year-on-year.
