SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Wieland’s acquisition of Hummock Industries has added complementary operations- Heyco Metals- a leading light and medium gauge copper, copper alloy, and stainless steel strip processor and National Bronze Manufacturing- a leading manufacturer and distributor of bronze-based bearing products. The transaction had closed by end-December last year.

The above acquisition is expected to further strengthen Wieland’s market leadership position with additional manufacturing capabilities and distribution facilities as well as new product offerings.
Dr. Erwin Mayr, CEO of Wieland noted that like Wieland, Heyco Metals and National Bronze too are recognized for exceptional quality and service to their customers. The acquisition reaffirms the company’s commitment to continued investment and growth in North America, he added.
Founded in 1969, Heyco Metals runs a re-rolling mill in Reading, Pennsylvania, which delivers premium quality products to automotive, electronics, industrial, and medical industries.
Founded in 1911, National Bronze Manufacturing operates a metal service center and is a manufacturer and distributor of bronze bushings, bearings and other industrial components to various industries.
