The purchase agreement of Exurban to acquire 76 acres of land for setting up the facility has already been approved by the Fort Wayne Redevelopment Commission.

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Exurban USA Inc.- the newly formed international metal recycling firm announced plans to build a new state-of the-art recycling plant in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The proposed facility, in the Adams Township Industrial Park, will be built at an investment of around $300 million and is expected to create approximately 200 full-time jobs in the region.
The purchase agreement of Exurban to acquire 76 acres of land for setting up the facility has already been approved by the Fort Wayne Redevelopment Commission. The company plans to begin the site engineering and permitting process, which together is expected to extend to up to one year. Upon successful completion of the permitting process, it may take approximately two years for the facility to be constructed.
Wes Anderson, co-owner, Exurban USA Inc. said that the facility will recycle electronic scrap materials that come from products such as computer chips, circuit boards and wiring. It will employ proprietary techniques to refine the electronic metals for reuse. The new facility will ensure that the metals disposed in the U.S. actually stay here and are reused, instead of being exported to overseas destinations. The Indiana property is a really great fit for the company, he added.
