ITAD Major Reaches 1 Billion Pound E-Scrap Recycling Milestone

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Janesville, Wisconsin-headquartered Universal Recycling Technologies (URT) has reached an important milestone, recycling 1 billion pounds of electronic scrap. The company has serviced nearly 5.6 million U.S. homes, from 2008 till date. URT attributed the success to its association with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).

Jeff Gloyd, vice president of sales and marketing at URT noted that the company’s customers and partners include the spectrum of households; small, medium and large businesses; local, state and federal government and nonprofits. The company partners with OEMS in managing end-of-life electronics through state-compliance programs and mail-back programs. The ongoing strong relationships with leading OEMs have immensely contributed to the company’s growth and success, he added.
