UK secondary aluminium ingot prices remained flat on Wednesday May 15, with the overwhelming majority of business confined to contract sales as scrap tightness continued to discourage producers from seeking spot sales.

London(ScrapMonster): UK secondary aluminium ingot prices remained flat on Wednesday May 15, with the overwhelming majority of business confined to contract sales as scrap tightness continued to discourage producers from seeking spot sales.
LM24 pressure diecasting ingot stayed at £1,520-1,560 ($2,323-2,384) per tonne and LM6/LM25 gravity diecasting ingot remained at £1,720-1,780. "The UK is pretty tied up – there's not a lot of spot business these days," a producer said. "Scrap is still short. We're still trying to get the prices down."
