The company has invested big in removal of single-use plastics. During the previous year, the company’s One For All retail product line won the Packaging Innovations Gold Award. The efforts by the company have resulted in saving nearly forty tons of plastic each year.

Currently, the company is designing remote controls that do not require battery replacement throughout the useful life of the product. To this effect, the company has invested in a new reference design for remote controls-UEI Eterna platform. The innovative technology could result in significant savings in the number of batteries, which otherwise could end up in landfills.

Enrique Suro, VP, Global Quality Assurance, UEI reiterated its commitment to reduce the environmental impacts through the development, manufacturing and recycling of its products.
