The 6,000 square foot processing plant is expected to have a capacity to process approximately 30,000 IT assets per annum.
SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): CSI EPC- the Canadian subsidiary of ITAD major EPC announced its plans to expand in the region with the opening of its new Edmonton area facility. The new facility will extend the U.S.-based EPC’s global footprint. The company had recently opened a facility near Vancouver, B.C.
The 6,000 square foot processing plant is expected to have a capacity to process approximately 30,000 IT assets per annum. The facility will complement CSI EPC’s existing operations in Toronto, Calgary, and Vancouver. Thad McBride will serve as the facility’s warehouse manager. The Edmonton facility is expected to become operational in a couple of weeks.
Coiln Taves, president, CSI EPC noted that the latest expansion is mainly driven by EPC’s ever-increasing customer requirements. The expansion will help the company better serve its existing customers and also meet demand from new customers over the past one year. The facility’s focus will be on commercial asset collection and remarketing of reusable assets, Taves said.
The addition of the new Edmonton facility is expected to save shipping costs. Furthermore, it will lead to processing more volume of equipment in a timely manner.
