Sims Recycling Solutions has decided to close its e-scrap processing facility at New Jersey
SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Sims Recycling Solutions has decided to close its e-scrap processing facility at New Jersey. A few weeks before, the company had announced its decision to close down its Dallas facility too. The official closure is scheduled for 7th July, 2014.
According to Steve Skurnac, President, Sims Recycling Solutions, the company’s NJ facility located at Edison has stopped accepting electronics scrap materials with effect from June 1st. He cited the current market conditions as the reason for closure. The move is also considered to be part of company’s policy to consolidate its operations around the globe.
According to Sims, it will continue investing in cutting edge technologies to serve its customers in the best possible manner. The consolidation of operations will help the firm to make fresh investment in latest technologies and services.
The left over e-scrap at the Edison facility will be shifted to the company’s Baltimore facility where it will be processed.
The 93,000 square feet Edison facility at 401, Mill Road had started functioning by end-2010.
