Stainless Steel scrap displayed a mixed trend. Among listed aluminum grades, only E.C. Aluminum Wire showed variation in price.

  • Aluminum: Broadly flat, with E.C. Aluminum Wire alone showing weakness.

  • Brass/Bronze: Remained unchanged when compared with the previous day’s prices.

Copper Scrap Prices

Copper prices held steady after the previous day's sharp decline of up to 6 cents per pound in clean copper grades.

#1 Copper Wire and Tubing, #2 Copper Wire and Tubing, #1 Copper Bare Bright and #3 Copper-Light Copper were all unchanged.

Alternator Scrap, #1 Insulated Copper Wire with 85% Recovery and #2 Insulated Copper Wire with 50% Recovery also recorded no movement.

Copper Radiator Scrap, Copper Transformer Scrap, and Cu Yokes held steady.

Cu/Al Radiator Ends, Cu/Al Radiators and Cu/Al Radiators/Fe were unchanged.

Harness Wire with 35% Recovery, Heater Cores, Romex Wire, Scrap Electric Motors, Starters, Sealed Units and Xmas Lights also remained flat.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

Aluminum scrap remained unchanged across all the tracked categories, except E.C. Aluminum Wire, which posted a decline of $0.01 per Lb.

1100 Scrap, 3003 Scrap, 356 Aluminum Wheels, 6063 Extrusions/Fe, 6063 Extrusions, 5052 Scrap and 6061 Extrusions were all flat.

Al/Cu Radiators, Al/Cu Radiators/Fe, Aluminum Radiators, Aluminum Radiators/Fe, Aluminum Transformers, and Breakage 50% Recovery also recorded no movement.

Chrome Wheels, Litho Sheets, MLC Clips, Mixed Aluminum Turnings, Old Cast, UBC, Old Sheet, Painted Siding, and Zorba 90% NF remained unchanged.

Steel Scrap Prices

Steel scrap prices were unchanged on the Index.

  • #1 Bundle, #1 Busheling, #1 HMS: No change

  • HMS 80/20, Sheet Metal, Shredded Auto Scrap, and Structural Steel: Stable pricing

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS prices were flat on the Index.

301 SS, 304 SS Solid, and 304 SS Turning prices saw declines of $0.01 per Lb each over the previous day’s prices.

Meanwhile, 309 SS and 316 SS Solid prices edged higher by $0.01 per Lb each.

Also, 310 SS and 330 SS prices increased by $0.02 per Lb and $0.03 per Lb, respectively, on the Index.

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

Brass and bronze scrap prices were unchanged across all listed grades.

70/30 Brass Scrap, 80/20 Brass Scrap, 85/15 Brass Scrap and Brass Radiator Scrap held steady.

Brass Radiator/Fe and Brass Radiator Ends maintained their previous-day levels.

Red Brass, Red Borings, and Yellow Brass also recorded no change.
