Constellium to Boost European Recycling Capacity

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Paris-headquartered aluminum producer Constellium SE announced plans to make investments towards boosting its recycling capacity in the European region. The proposed investment will augment its recycling footprint by additional annual capacity of at least 60,000 metric tons. The new project will process recycled material to produce slabs for the company’s automotive and packaging businesses in Europe.

Constellium expects to make a final announcement with regards to the scope and location of the project by the end of this year, subject to finalizing engineering and obtaining required permits. It may take approximately two years to construct the plant. Based on current assumptions, the plant is likely to begin operations in 2024.
