Cascades Ranked 18th Among World’s Most Sustainable Corporations

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Cascades has been recognized as one of the world’s 100 most sustainable corporations in 2021, according to Global 100 Index published by Corporate Knights. The company was ranked 18th among the 6,914 public companies analyzed worldwide and first among organizations in the Packaging category. This is the third consecutive year that the company has been ranked in the list.

Cascades made significant jump in rankings over the previous year. It must be noted that the company was ranked 49th in 2020. The notable progression in the rankings reflects the company’s objective to do more for the well-being of the people and communities in which it operates.

The company stood out from its peers on several performance indicators such as high percentage of clean revenue, health and safety performance and gender diversity on its board of directors.

Mario Plourde, President and Chief Executive Officer of Cascades noted that the company has been constantly trying to push the limits of its business practices. As part of these efforts, it has set new and more aggressive sustainable development objectives for the next 5 and ten years. The company’s recent Sustainability Action Plan further intensifies this commitment, he added.
