The report claims that in February 2024, the company and Petrobras signed a memorandum of understanding to investigate business models for carbon capture and storage (CSS), hydrogen and its products, low-carbon fuels, and renewable energy production. ArcelorMittal Calvert revealed plans in April to construct a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Calvert, Alabama, capable of producing up to 150,000 tonnes of non-grain-oriented electrical steel domestically annually.
