SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The new board chair of the American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) is Mark W. Kowlzan, the chairman and chief executive officer of Packaging Corporation of America (PCA). Top business executives who represent a wide range of businesses in the paper and wood products manufacturing industry make up the Board.
Mark is a very powerful advocate for the paper and wood products industry, according to AF&PA President and CEO Heidi Brock. AF&PA is thrilled to work with Mark, our Board of Directors, and all of its members as it advances policies that promote economic growth, job creation, and global competitiveness.

In addition, AF&PA named Howard Coker, the president and CEO of Sonoco Products Company, the immediate past chair; Jean-Michel Ribieras, the chairman and CEO of Sylvamo Corporation, the second vice chair; and Mike Doss, the president and CEO of Graphic Packaging International, LLC, the first vice chair.
Additionally, the Association welcomed six new members: Liberty Diversified International, Sustana and Suzano Packaging, K.T.G. (USA) Inc., American Kraft Paper Industries LLC, and Crown Paper Group. MOD-PAC Corporation and Legna Software LLC were also added as associate members.
