LME Copper continues to dip on Greece woes

London Metal Exchange base metal prices futures headed in negative direction on Wednesday. Steel And Aluminium prices advanced in LME market while all other ended in red on Wednesday.

LONDON (Scrap Monster): London Metal Exchange base metal prices futures headed in negative direction on Wednesday. Steel And Aluminium prices advanced in LME market while all other ended in red on Wednesday.
LME copper fell by 1.83% to $7709 a metric ton, a 4-month low on Wednesday, extending losses to a fourth consecutive session, as investors continued to shy away from risky assets with the Greek political malaise threatening to plunge Europe into a deeper financial mess.
LME Price Highlights:
--Aluminium alloy remain unchanged at $1885 a metric ton
--Aluminium advanced 0.78% to $1994 per metric ton
--Copper dipped 1.83% to $7709 a metric ton
--Lead dipped 2.18% to $1972 per metric ton
--Nickel slipped 0.2% to $16945 a metric ton
--Tin dipped 1.61% to $19775 per metric ton
--Zinc slipped 0.26% to $1912.50 a metric ton
--Steel gained 0.44% to $456 per metric ton
The LME metal prices in US $ per metric tonne as on May 16, 2011. The figures in brackets refer to prices that prevailed on the previous day.
