SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The World Gold Council (WGC) announced launch of its first documentary series on gold. The series comprises five episodes, each of around 10 minutes duration. The series of videos showcases gold’s impacts on humanity’s past, present and future. It is presented by best-selling author and award-winning TV host Hannan Fry. It also features industry experts including Phil de Luna and Tawny Chatmon.
The documentary series is currently available of the website TheGoldenThreadgold.org. The first episode has also been launched on YouTube, with the remaining four episodes scheduled to appear one every week. Each episode will be appended with additional stories, which in turn will explore related topics. The Golden Thread will continue to act as a platform to share stories about the yellow metal.

James Spake, Global Head of Digital Marketing, WGC said that the purpose of the documentary is to increase the relevance and consideration of gold in the minds of investors and consumers alike. It demonstrates the essential role of gold, its undeniable utility and its power to advance humankind.
The episodes are named The Next Frontier, Unlocking the Extraordinary, Making Meaning, Transforming Life and The Spark.
