Weyerhaeuser Announced Robust Operating Results in Q2 This Year

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Weyerhaeuser Company reported results for the second quarter of 2025.

Net earnings for the second quarter were $87 million, or 12 cents per diluted share, according to the company's report. This contrasts with net earnings of $83 million for the first quarter of 2025 and $173 million, or 24 cents per diluted share, for the same period last year. In the second quarter of this year, net sales were $1.9 billion, which was essentially the same as the same quarter the previous year.

Compared to $410 million for the same period last year and $328 million for the first quarter of 2025, the adjusted EBITDA for the second quarter of 2025 was $336 million.

Lumber and OSB segment performance

In comparison to the first quarter averages, the company's lumber and oriented strand board (OSB) sales realizations fell by 2% and 12%, respectively. The volume of lumber sales increased, while log prices stayed marginally higher. Fiber costs and OSB sales volume were marginally higher.

Despite difficult market conditions, the teams produced strong operating performance in the second quarter, according to President and CEO Devin W. Stockfish. The business could take advantage of chances for strategic portfolio rationalization. In the short term, the business is in a strong position to handle a variety of market circumstances.
