SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Pittsburgh-based United States Steel Corporation (U.S. Steel) announced that it has been recognized as one of “America’s Greatest Workplaces for Diversity 2024” by Newsweek and the market data research firm Plant-A Insights Group. The recognition is based on independent work place study conducted at various sites.
The recognition demonstrates excellent work opportunities for women, veterans, the LGBTQ+ community and healthy work-life balance at U.S. Steel facilities. The company received the highest possible rating of 5 stars and was included in the list of top, large-size companies to receive the honour.

David B. Burritt, U. S. Steel President and Chief Executive Officer said that the prestigious recognition reflects how much the progress the company has made matters to its employees. Without the dedication and hard work of employees, the company could not made into the list, he added.
The research firm took into account the result of input received from interviews with more than 223,000 workers nationwide along with 1.5 million company reviews.
In related news, the company announced that it will release financial results for the fourth quarter and full year 2023 on Thursday, February 1, 2024 after the close of trading on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).
