U.S. Steel Opened Clairton Education Center After Renovation

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): United States Steel (U.S. Steel) Corporation and Clairton City School District celebrated the grand reopening of the Clairton Education Center after major renovations. The reopening marks a major milestone for Clairton’s students, teachers and families.

The U.S. Steel employees had assisted in the reopening by providing necessary renovations to the middle and high school levels of the Clairton Education Center. Employees from the company’s Mon Valley Works and corporate headquarters volunteered painting at hallways and the high school gymnasium, restoration of office space and installation of carpets. The works were carried out under the supervision of Mike Rhoads, plant manager of Mon Valley Works’ Clairton Plant, in association with Dr. Ginny Hunt, Superintendent, Clairton City School.
