As part of the investment, the company plans to remove the existing old building and replace it with more attractive and efficient structure. New state-of-the-art machinery and modern noiseless cranes would be purchased. Other modifications include installation of new sign boards and higher fencing surrounding the scrap yard. The above upgrades will not only increase the efficiency of the yard facility, but also lead to improved customer experience, the company noted.

The upgrades will result in removal of scrap metal piles more frequently, thus ensuring that less metal is being kept at the site. It will create additional jobs in addition to the existing 15-20 jobs at the site.

The project will be submitted to the Alleghany Planning Board at the earliest.
