Tolko Officially Joined Alberta Forest Products Association

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Tolko Industries Ltd. has officially joined the Alberta Forest Products Association (AFPA).

Commenting on the development, Jason Krips, President and CEO, AFPA said that the association is absolutely thrilled to have Tolko join the AFPA family. Tolko is a company that is known for their values, and their focus on diversity and inclusion, Indigenous partnerships, and innovation. AFPA is excited to welcome Tolko to the association and it looks forward to working with them to continue to drive Alberta’s forest industry forward, he added.

Meantime, Brad Thorlakson, President and CEO, Tolko said that the company will continue its dedicated efforts to serve the communities. It is excited to join AFPA and to work with the Association to continue to advance sustainable forestry in the province, he added.

Janis Simpkins,, Vice President, Indigenous & Government Relations and Sustainability, Tolko will join the AFPA’s Board of Directors.

Tolko operates an OSB mill in High Prairie. In addition to this, it also owns two other divisions including an OSB and LSL facility near Slave Lake, as well as a dimensional lumber mill in High Level. These three facilities together employ almost 700 employees directly.
