SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Stora Enso’s Langerbrugge site located in the heart of Europe announced continuation of its journey towards excellence in papermaking. The site, which connects tradition with modern technology boasts a long history of supplying paper to Europe and beyond.
Strategically located in Ghent, Belgium, the site offers easy and convenient access to major transportation routes as well as key markets in the region. The facility recycles around 540,000 tons of recycled paper every year, thus positioning itself as a major recycling hub and sustainability performer.

Recently, the company has explored the possibilities for converting one of the site’s two paper machines into a recycled containerboard line. However, the decision has now been postponed owing to current flat demand for recycled containerboard in Europe.
