SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Nucor Corporation reported a sharp rise in Q2 2026 earnings, driven by record steel mill shipments, stronger steel prices, and increased sales volumes across its core businesses.
The company posted net earnings attributable to stockholders of $1.16 billion, or $5.04 per diluted share. This compares with $743 million ($3.23 per share) in the first quarter of 2026 and $603 million ($2.60 per share) in the second quarter of 2025. The adjusted earnings totaled $1.11 billion, or $4.84 per diluted share, during the quarter. Also, Q2 net sales reached $10.40 billion, while EBITDA stood at $2.02 billion.

The steel mills segment delivered the strongest performance during the quarter, primarily due to higher average selling prices and increased shipment volumes. The steel products business also posted improved earnings due to stronger shipments, while the raw materials segment gained from higher selling prices and increased volumes.
Nucor Chairman and CEO Leon Topalian said that Nucor remains focused on expanding its production capabilities and strengthening its leadership in the North American steel market.
