Over the course of the week, the United States produced 1.777 million net tons (NT) of domestic raw steel.

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): In the week ending July 26, 2025, U.S. weekly raw steel production grew by about 4.80%, according to the most recent weekly domestic production figures released by the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI). A comparison between this week and the same week last year served as the basis for this.
Year-on-Year Comparison
The United States produced 1.777 million net tons (NT) of domestic raw steel during the week. The domestic mill had a 78.4% capacity. Recall that during the same week last year, production was 1.696 million NT, with a little lower capacity utilization rate of 76.4%.
Week-on-Week Comparison
In comparison to the week ending July 19, 2025, when 1,768,000 net tons were produced and the capability utilization rate was 78.0%, the output increased marginally by 0.50% in the week ending July 26, 2025.
Region wise raw steel production
With 802,000 net tons, the Southern region produced the most. Over the course of the week, the Great Lakes region produced 559,000 net tons. North East-113, Midwest-232, and Western-71 are the other regions' productions (in thousand net tons).
Cumulative steel production
As of July 26, 2025, the adjusted year-to-date output was 50.527 million net tons, with a capability utilization rate of 76.3%. Compared to the same time in 2024, when production was 50.061 million net tons with a capacity utilization rate of 76.2%, this indicates a 0.9% rise.
