According to the AISI statistics, steel shipments totalled 7.507 million net tons in April of this year.

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): According to monthly figures from the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), U.S. steel shipments in June of this year were higher than those in the same month last year. Also, when compared to the previous month, shipments showed an increase.
AISI data shows that the steel mills shipped 7.854 million net tons in June 2025. This represents a 9.8% increase over shipments of 7.152 million net tons in the same month in 2024. Compared to May of this year, shipments increased by 4.6 percent. In April of this year, 7.507 million net tons of steel were shipped, according to AISI data.

In the first half of 2025, 45.140 million net tons were shipped by domestic steel mills in the United States. This is a little 3.2% gain over the same half-yearly time previous year. These mills shipped 43.760 million net tons of steel between January and June of 2024.
The report compares shipment volumes of several steel products for the current year. The first six months of this year saw a 1% increase in corrosion-resistant sheet shipments compared to the same period last year. Shipments of hot rolled sheets and strips fell by 2%. Also, shipments of cold rolled sheets and strips dropped by 4% annually in comparison to 2024, according to AISI.
