SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Green Recycle USA LLC, a start-up company, declared that it will invest around $4.3 million to construct a plastic recycling facility in Pittsylvania County. That was the announcement given by Governor Glenn Youngkin.

The new facility will process and recycle industrial plastic trash that would otherwise wind up in landfills, offering a more sustainable option for plastic waste. The new recycling facility is expected to provide nearly 28 jobs, greatly enhancing the state of Virginia's economy.

The startup will turn the gathered plastic garbage into raw materials through a recycling process, which are subsequently sold to companies for use in the production of new goods. Over 2,000 tons of plastic garbage can be processed annually by the plant. It will contribute significantly to environmental protection by doing this.

To secure the project, Pittsylvania County received support in the form of a $150,000 grant that was approved as part of the Commonwealth's Opportunity Fund. The Southern Virginia Regional Alliance and the Virginia Economic Development Partnership also played a key role in winning the project.

After considering three possible locations—two in nearby states and one in Virginia—Green Recycle ultimately decided on the Pittsylvania County warehouse site.
