BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese aluminum scrap prices increased on ScrapMonster Price Index as of Thursday, September 25, 2025. Copper and Brass/Bronze scrap prices were up from the previous day. Stainless Steel scrap prices were flat when matched with the prior day’s prices. Also, Steel scrap prices held steady on the Index.
Copper Scrap Prices
The #1 Copper Bare Bright prices were up significantly by CNY 2,700 per MT.
#1 Copper Wire and Tubing price saw a jump of CNY 2,700 per MT.
The price of #2 Copper Wire and Tubing also surged by CNY 2,700 per MT.
#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices were up by CNY 1,300 per MT over the previous day’s price. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery witnessed a jump of CNY 500 per MT when compared with the day before.
Copper Transformer and Cu Yokes scrap prices were up by CNY 100 per MT and CNY 150 per MT on the Index.
Cu/Al Radiators saw an increase in prices by CNY 500 per MT.
Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices were up by CNY 150 per MT over the previous day.
The price of Heater Cores was up by CNY 1,000 per MT on Thursday, September 25, 2025.
Meanwhile, Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices inched up by CNY 100 per MT each on the Index.
Aluminum Scrap Prices
6063 Extrusions recorded a jump of CNY 50 per MT over the previous day.
Aluminum Ingots prices also were up by CNY 50 per MT on the Index.
The prices of Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers held steady on the Index.
E.C Aluminum Wire prices witnessed an increase of CNY 50 per MT on the Index.
Old Cast and Old Sheet prices also witnessed a rise of CNY 50 per MT each on September 25, 2025.
The prices of UBC and Zorba 90% INF were flat from the previous day.
Steel Scrap Prices
#1 HMS prices held steady on September 25, 2025.
Cast Iron Scrap also reported no change in prices.
Stainless Steel Scrap Prices
201 SS prices recorded no change on the Index.
304 SS Solid and 304 SS Turning prices also were flat on the Index.
309 SS and 316 SS Solid prices were unchanged when compared with the prior day.
310 SS scrap prices recorded no variation as of September 25, 2025.
Shred SS prices held steady over the previous day.
Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices
The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China recorded increase from the previous day.
Brass Radiator scrap prices recorded a jump of CNY 300 per MT as of Thursday, September 25, 2025.
On the Index, the price of Yellow Brass and Red Brass rose by CNY 500 per MT.
