Chinese Scrap Metal Prices: Daily Market Analysis-September 24, 2025

309 SS and 316 SS Solid prices were up by CNY 50 per MT when compared with the prior day’s price.

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese scrap metal prices remained mostly unchanged on the ScrapMonster Price Index as of Wednesday, September 24, 2025. Steel, Brass and Bronze scrap prices held steady. Copper and Aluminum scrap prices also remained unchanged over the previous day. In contrast, Stainless Steel scrap prices edged higher on the Index.
Copper Scrap Prices
The #1 Copper Bare Bright and #1 Copper Wire and Tubing witnessed no price change over the previous day.
The price of #2 Copper Wire and Tubing also remained flat.
#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices were unchanged. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery recorded no change over the previous day.
Copper Transformer scrap prices saw no variation in prices over the previous day. No price-change was witnessed in Cu Yokes.
Cu/Al Radiator prices remained unchanged.
Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices held steady as of Wednesday, September 24, 2025.
Also, Heater Cores, Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices remained unchanged.
Aluminum Scrap Prices
6063 Extrusions witnessed no change in prices over the previous day.
Aluminum Ingots also remained unchanged.
The prices of Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers saw no variation.
E.C Aluminum Wire prices remained unmoved on the Index.
Old Cast prices too were flat as of September 24, 2025.
The prices of Old Sheets and UBC held steady on the Index.
Zorba 90% INF prices saw no change from the previous day’s price.
Steel Scrap Prices
#1 HMS prices held steady as of September 24, 2025.
Cast Iron Scrap reported no change in prices.
Stainless Steel Scrap Prices
201 SS prices were unchanged on the Index.
304 SS Solid prices too remained flat over the previous day.
The price of 304 SS Turning recorded saw no change.
309 SS and 316 SS Solid prices were up by CNY 50 per MT when compared with the prior day’s price.
310 SS scrap prices also increased by CNY 50 per MT as of Wednesday, September 24, 2025.
Shred SS prices saw no variation in prices over the day.
Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices
The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China remained unchanged.
Brass Radiator scrap prices held steady as of September 24, 2025.
Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices also were flat on the Index.
