BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese scrap metal prices inched up on the ScrapMonster Price Index as of Wednesday, October 15, 2025. Aluminum and Steel scrap prices held steady. Copper and Brass/Bronze scrap prices recorded increase over the previous day. Also, Stainless Steel scrap prices were up on the Index.
Copper Scrap Prices
The #1 Copper Bare Bright and #1 Copper Wire and Tubing witnessed a jump in prices of CNY 1,250 per MT over the previous day.
The price of #2 Copper Wire and Tubing also edged higher by CNY 1,250 per MT.
#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices were up by CNY 600 per MT. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery recorded a jump of CNY 200 per MT over the previous day.
Copper Transformer and Cu Yokes scrap prices saw an increase of CNY 50 per MT each.
Cu/Al Radiator prices went higher by CNY 200 per MT.
Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices edged higher by CNY 50 per MT as of Wednesday, October 15, 2025.
Heater Cores prices soared by CNY 500 per MT on the Index.
Also, Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices edged higher by CNY 50 per MT each.
Aluminum Scrap Prices
6063 Extrusions witnessed no change in prices over the previous day.
Aluminum Ingots prices also were flat on the Index.
The prices of Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers were unchanged.
E.C Aluminum Wire prices held steady on the Index.
Old Cast and Old Sheet prices were flat as of October 15, 2025.
UBC and Zorba 90% INF prices recorded no variation from the previous day’s price.
Steel Scrap Prices
#1 HMS prices held steady as of October 15, 2025.
Cast Iron Scrap reported no change in prices.
Stainless Steel Scrap Prices
201 SS prices were unchanged on the Index.
304 SS Solid prices also held steady over the previous day.
The price of 304 SS Turning recorded no change.
309 SS and 316 SS prices witnessed no variation when compared with the prior day’s price.
310 SS Solid scrap prices were up by CNY 50 per MT as of Wednesday, October 15, 2025.
Shred SS prices were flat over the day.
Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices
The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China recorded increase.
Brass Radiator scrap prices were up by CNY 100 per MT on October 15, 2025.
Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices also went higher by CNY 150 per MT each on the Index.
