SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The ban on the Scrap Metal Industry is expected to be lifted this month but the President of the Scrap Iron Dealers Association, Allan Ferguson doesn't believe the industry will reopen since he is waiting for Government to provide them with export licences.
The industry was expected to begin on February 24.
Attorney General Reginald Armour and by extension the Government placed a six month ban on the industry due to theft and damage to private and public organizations.
This also led for new legislation being passed in the parliament.
Ferguson is calling for a stakeholder consultation.
