The company's Wood Products segment generated $1.385 billion in third-quarter sales, up $25 million sequentially. Adjusted EBITDA declined to $91 million, primarily reflecting higher manufacturing expenses, weaker sales realizations for certain products and increased maintenance activity.
Weyerhaeuser also advanced its timberland portfolio optimization strategy. It agreed to sell approximately 81,000 acres of non-core timberlands in Arkansas for $146 million. The transaction is expected to close in Q4, subject to customary closing conditions.
For Q4 2026, management expects earnings before special items and Adjusted EBITDA to remain moderately lower from third-quarter levels, excluding changes in lumber and oriented strand board realizations. The company expects slightly lower lumber sales volume.
