The saw mill, located on Fort William First Nation land, was initially owned by Abitibi-Consolidated.

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Resolute Forest Products announced that its Thunder Bay sawmill has passed a significant milestone. The mill reached the important milestone by processing over four billion board feet of construction-grade lumber since its inception in 2003. The saw mill, located on Fort William First Nation land, was initially owned by Abitibi-Consolidated.

Earlier in 2018, Resolute had invested around $11 million in improving energy efficiency and reducing greenhouse gas emissions at the mill. The investment had also modernized the planer line at the facility, so as to ensure the profitability and long-term competitiveness of the mill operations.
