SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): A blaze that took about 40 minutes for firefighters to extinguish on Tuesday remains under investigation, an official said.
City Assistant Fire Chief Dan Coughlin said the fire broke out at a Chapel Street scrapyard at around 11:50 a.m.
Responding crews arrived to the scene and found a large pile of scrap metal on fire, Coughlin said. The flames were put out with the help of the firefighters' equipment and the facilities' heavy equipment, he said.
Coughlin said no structures were affected by the fire because none were nearby and there were no reported injuries.
