SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Conifex Timber Inc. reported results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2025.

The company’s EBITDA for the quarter was $4.9 million. This is upon comparison with the EBITDA of negative $2.1 million in the fourth quarter of 2024 and negative $0.5 million in the first quarter of 2024. The net income for the quarter was $0.6 million or $0.02 per share for the quarter, compared with net loss of $7.8 million or $0.19 per share in the previous quarter and negative $4.5 million or $0.11 per share in the first quarter of 2024.

In Q1 2025, the company produced about 46.3 million board feet of lumber, according to a news release. Operating rates of roughly 77% of yearly capacity were recorded by the firm. During the first week of the quarter, a single shift arrangement for one week had a significant negative impact on production.

In the first quarter of 2025, 38.0 million board feet of lumber made by Conifex were shipped. Compared to the 24.8 million board feet supplied in the prior quarter, this was a notable 53% increase. In the meantime, there were no shipments of wholesale lumber during the quarter. In the first quarter of 2025, lumber product revenues reached $31.3 million, a 47% increase over the previous quarter.

Additionally, in the first quarter of 2025, Conifex Timber expensed $2.8 million in CV and AD duty deposits.
