SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): New South Lumber Company, a subsidiary of Canfor Southern Pine, has announced a $10.5 million investment to expand operations at its facility in Mobile County, reinforcing its long-term commitment to the region’s forest products sector.
The expansion project will retain more than 250 jobs and enhance production capabilities through the installation of a new dual-path continuous dry kiln. This capital upgrade is expected to significantly boost drying capacity, improve operational efficiency, and support future growth initiatives at the site.
