Premier Metal Group Opens New Scrap Facility in Rochester

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Premier Metal Group has christened a newly built scrap metal facility in the city of Rochester.

The new facility at 11 Cairn St. replaces a former warehouse that was destroyed by fire in December of 2018. The site underwent significant cleanup and environmental investments, Premier Metal Group said.

“Our multi-million dollar investment into repurposing this site reflects our unwavering commitment to environmental sustainability,” Brad Cook, general manager for the company, said in a news release. “We take immense pride in revitalizing this location with our efficient and environmentally responsible recycling operation.”

The facility is Premier Metal’s second in Rochester. The other is located at 909 W. Linden Ave. in East Rochester. Scrap metal from industrial and retail customers is collected at both locations.

“The opening of our newest state-of-the-art facility symbolizes a bold step forward,” Cook said. “We are dedicated to providing our valued customers with unparalleled service and top-notch scrap metal solutions.”

Premier Metal is owned by Buffalo-based Niagara Metals. The group operates seven scrap metal recycling facilities.

A grand opening celebration is set for April 19.
